Has the S.C. Dept. of natural resources extended the season for deer hunting ?

I had heard they were possibly going to extend the season because there have not been many deer taken this year!Has the S.C. Dept. of natural resources extended the season for deer hunting ?
i had heard that but i think its just a rumor there is nothing about this on their site and i havent heard anything about it in a while i have a friend who's dad works for natural resourses and i havent heard anything.
