Absolutely. Whales are very intelligent creatures that live in close knit family groups. When you kill a whale, the whole family suffers. Each whale plays a vital role in the pod. Whales also play a very important role in the ocean ecosystem. It is one thing to hunt an animal that is overpopulating certain areas, but most whales are at a very low population, if not threatened/endangered. I dont believe hunting of any kind is right, but this is one of the worst. At least people can make up ideas about how deer cause damage to the environment (at high populations) to justify killing them. In many areas, whale hunting is banned. But there are those countries that still insist on whaling, often disguising it as something else (research).Should whale hunting be banned?
Yes. There is no product in whale harvesting that cannot be readily duplicated in a lab or factory.
I think it's cruel. They're majestic animals and they're not our only food source. Some people just like hunting because they like to watch something die. Sickos.
YES, It should be banned! ALL hunting should be banned!
